Garry Sleath and JCC Alumni Big Band
Welcome to this night of music at St. Catherine’s Church, with big band sounds from the JCC Alumni Big Band. The Band is formed of past students from John Cleveland College, together with other friends of the band who have joined and provided their support over the years.
John Cleveland College does not exist in the same guise any longer, but the band are proud to still be playing together and making music after so many years.
We play a variety of music, from classic tunes made famous by the Glenn Miller band, to favourites from the likes of Santana and Stevie Wonder. We also love branching into different pieces, and a new recent addition is our version of Welcome to the Jungle by Guns N Roses!
All profits from tonight’s performance will be donated to St. Catherine’s Church and their fundraiser for the Church Spire fund, helping to raise vital funds to secure the church for future generations.
